01 / Position
A Los Angeles advisory firm advancing community wealth: economic development and training, capital access for small businesses, strategy for city, county, and federal agencies, and expertise for the CDFIs and credit unions that anchor local economies.

Quentin D. Strode
Founder & Managing Director
Quentin Strode founded Artifex Capital and Advisory after senior leadership roles at U.S. Bank and Bank of America and executive leadership in community economic development. His career spans institutional lending, capital access, and strategy for communities historically excluded from mainstream finance.
He advises business owners, government partners, boards, and founding teams on economic development strategy, structuring capital, and building the programs and institutions, from CDFIs to credit unions, that communities can trust. He is the author of Redesigning the Table: Building the Next American Economy.
The future of ownership is under construction.
Two new platforms from Artifex Capital and Advisory, built to open the ownership economy to the entrepreneurs and communities who have been left out of it.
01 / Platform
Artifex Exchange
Ownership Transition Platform
Millions of American small businesses are approaching ownership transitions, while the next generation of operators lacks access to acquisition opportunities, capital, and structured support. Artifex Exchange bridges that gap: a curated acquisition and exit platform that connects owners preparing to exit with qualified, operator-ready buyers, and supports both sides through the entire transaction.
—
Curated Deal Flow
Quality, readiness, and alignment between buyers and sellers, not an open listing board.
—
Training & Buyer Readiness
Structured programs that move entrepreneurs from interest to transaction readiness and feed the buyer pipeline.
—
Advisory & Structuring
Guidance for both sides through complex ownership transfers, from evaluation to close.
—
Capital Alignment
Connections to the right financing, including SBA lending, CDFIs, and structured seller financing.
02 / Capital
Acendio by Artifex
Community Capital Solutions
Acendio layers community based capital solutions alongside Artifex Exchange, closing the financing gaps that keep capable operators from completing acquisitions and broadening participation in the ownership economy.
